About the guide

Guidecover.jpg

I used to think life changed because of big decisions.

Moving abroad.

Starting a business.

Getting married.

Having a baby.

Looking back, I don't think those moments changed me.

The real change happened during the transition.

The months that followed.

The doubts.

The unexpected turns.

The moments when I had no idea where life was taking me.

That's when life quietly installed a new version of me.

No announcement.

No release notes.

Just... update complete.

The funny thing?

You usually only notice the update once it's already installed.

So... what's this?

  • Not self-help.

  • Not another "10 steps to change your life." Life is already changing it for you.

  • Not another "find the best version of yourself in Bali" story. (Although... Bali is lovely.)

I don't believe there's a "best" version of you.

Just updates.

Over time, this became the foundation of the 8 Lives before 40 Method.

A simple framework to help you recognize the transition you're living, understand where you are, and move through it with more clarity.

  • Through stories.

  • Questions.

  • Reflection prompts.

  • Practical exercises.

Because once you can name it, something changes.

It becomes less confusing.

Less lonely.

You stop wondering,

"What's wrong with me?"

And start thinking,

"Oh... this is where I am."

Sometimes, that's all we need to take the next step.

The guide won't tell you what to do.

(That would be too easy.)

But it will help you understand where you are.

And that's often where everything begins.

Because you're the one writing your OWN story.

Why I created it

I never planned to write a book.

Actually, I started writing because I needed to make sense of one of the hardest transitions of my life.

After becoming a mum, I went through postpartum depression.

Slowly, I found my way back.

Not back to the woman I was before.

Forward.

With new layers.

More empathy.

More patience.

More gratitude.

More strength than I knew I had.

That's when I realized something.

Every transition had added something to my life.

Not just motherhood.

Leaving Paris for Barcelona.

Building businesses.

Moving to the United States.

Starting over.

Again.

And again.

Looking back, I hadn't lived one life.

I'd lived many.

That's how the 8 Lives before 40 Method was born.

The interactive guide became the first way to share it.

Not because I have all the answers.

Far from it.

But because if my story helps just one person understand their own transition a little better...

Then every difficult chapter will have been worth writing.

Special note

Most of this guide wasn't written behind a beautiful desk with a nice cup of coffee.

It was written on my phone.

Usually with my son asleep on one arm while I typed with the other.

(Was I happy about having my phone that close to him? Not really.)

But life doesn't always wait for perfect conditions.

Sometimes you just create the guide anyway.

MAYBE THIS IS FOR YOU IF...

  • your life looks fine, but something feels different.

  • you're going through a transition you can't quite explain.

  • you're wondering why you don't feel like the same person anymore.

  • you're tired of advice that tells you to "fix yourself."

  • you're curious about the next version of yourself.

  • you know me and thought: "Well... let's see what Gaby's up to now." So you're really just here to support me. I'll take it. ❤️
